South Florida has long been a mecca for people because of its unique natural and man-made resources – year-round “fun and sun” weather; beautiful beaches; an array of activities such as golf; a sophisticated atmosphere with an exciting nightlife; and world-class shopping, dining and shopping. Condominiums have cropped up to fill the needs of people who want to call South Florida home, whether on a fulltime or seasonal basis. The prolific building boom added more than 22,000 units to the market over the last decade. Developers offered a variety of products and buyers responded. The units were absorbed easily as people realized their dreams of living in such an attractive locale. Today, close to the same number of units are under construction and scheduled for completion in 2007 and 2008. Developers have to work a little harder to attract buyers, but they are not deterred. The ones who stick to the philosophy of offering a variety of quality products will attract buyers. What follows are a few of the more exciting projects currently in development in South Florida:

Some of Florida’s main attractions are its beaches and for those who want a little sand in their shoes, Sian Ocean Residences & Resort is the ultimate choice. The multi-dimensional resort spans from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway, and is the only property in all of South Florida that has both Intracoastal and ocean frontage. Sian is located in South Florida’s up-and-coming Hollywood Beach. Flourishing with the excitement from the rebirth of arts, culture and entertainment, Hollywood is quickly becoming South Florida’s hot, new destination for urbanites and hip, young professionals. A few miles south is the charming city of Hallandale Beach, which is rolling out the red carpet for its most anticipated arrival, European Club, an extraordinary architectural masterpiece. European Club will stand 30 stories and be comprised of 118 condominium residences and 135 resort-quality condo/hotel suites managed by Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city and on the ocean near Golden Beach, is a one-of-a-kind luxury condominium, Regalia. With lines more fluid than linear, the 42-story tower appears to have been shaped by the waves, wind and sand rather than by concrete, glass and steel. Designed by internationally renowned architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia, founder of the award-winning firm Arquitectonica, Regalia will be a landmark featuring only 40 exclusive residences. Living here will be an experience most people will never get.

Larger waterfront developments are also available for purchase. Taking advantage of the beautiful water views of Sunny Isles Beach is St. Tropez. Exemplifying the style and glamour of the south of France, St. Tropez’s trio of towers will house 280 spacious and luxurious residences. Residents will revel in amenities and resort-style services while enjoying dramatic ocean and Intracoastal Waterway vistas from the privacy of their lavish homes.

On the other side of the Intracoastal Waterway is Aventura, a vibrant city known for fine dining and shopping. The Atrium at Aventura is not only a luxury condominium in the heart of the city; it is a paradise that residents will love to call home. The focal point of the condominium are three awe-inspiring atriums topped by a crystal pyramid, which serve as a gateway to both of the 11-story residential wings and to the exotic and lushly landscaped recreation and pool deck. With transparent walls and open spaces, the Atrium seamlessly fuses the man-made interior with the natural exterior environment. Bal Harbour, said to be the world’s most indulgent square mile, it is known for its pristine beaches and its enviable collection of exclusive shops. A favorite destination for affluent jet-setters the world over, Bal Harbour is known as an oasis of pampering and privilege.

Offering unprecedented excellence in standards of hospitality and elegance, St. Regis™ Resort & Residences, Bal Harbour will be the premier address for first-class luxury living and vacationing in South Florida. The five-star resort will comprise of 268 ultra-luxury residences, 36 hotel-condominiums and 183 executive hotel suites, situated high above the pristine sands of the Atlantic Ocean and directly across the street from the legendary Bal Harbour Shops.

Further down the coast in South Beach, Cipriani Ocean Resort And Club Residences, South Beach is a highly anticipated project that pairs two wildly successful entrepreneurs; Miami real estate mogul Ugo Columbo and New York bon vivant businessman Giuseppe Cipriani. The project will include 209 hotel condominiums and 66 exclusive club residences situated on 600 feet of pristine beachfront.

Boasting views of Biscayne Bay is Kubik, an art-inspired, avant-garde loftstyle condominium located in Miami’s artistic Upper East Side neighborhood, which is dotted with unique shops, art galleries and fashionable restaurants. Kubik residences are completely adaptable and will offer residents the flexibility of modular, bi-level floor plans, which will enable them to adapt their homes to their specific needs. Views of Miami Beach, Downtown and Biscayne Bay are featured from each residence’s expansive terrace.

Situated directly on the glistening waters of Biscayne Bay, Oasis on the Bay offers affordable and luxurious waterfront living in a convenient, central location between downtown Miami, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour and Aventura. Residents will long to come home to the unmatched quality of life offered at this waterfront community. Comprised of 475 luxury residences in two 20-story buildings, the luxury condominium features a distinctly tropical feel.

In the prestigious Brickell area of downtown Miami, Villa Magna will rise on the last parcel of bayfront land, with 330 feet of unobstructed water frontage. The luxury condominium will be comprised of two 60-level towers promising panoramic views from South Beach to Key Biscayne and featuring five-star quality services.

Also in the chic Brickell area is one of Miami’s premier developments, Capital at Brickell. Its unique architecture embodies a true cosmopolitan atmosphere and is reminiscent of New York’s Chrysler Building and Empire State European Club rendering Villa Magna Exterior Rendering Sian Rendering Final Buildings. The two towers will soar 53 and 57-stories above Miami.

For golfers, views of the famed Blue Monster beats any other and The Blue at Doral has those views and more. The Blue is the first and only luxury resort hotel condominium ever to be developed along the legendary fairways of Doral’s Blue Monster, home to the 2007 World Golf Championship and numerous PGA Tour events over the past 40 years. The Blue is situated along the 12th and 13th fairways of the  Blue Monster, and is easily accessible to downtown Miami, Miami Beach and the rest of South Florida.
