Created in 1895 by Lord Ashcomb, the Golf of Valescure laid out in stone pine forest is the oldest course of the Var region and fifth of France. This 5005 m long course has been designed close to English-style golf. It offers a special feature, including several relatively short holes. At first sight, this caracteristic means an easy game. A deceptive impression: narrowness of the fairway, difficult roughs, water obstacles and rather small greens, force constant thinking and wise choice of clubs.
