On its 40th edition, the tournament was pleased to have two great French champions. Jean Garaialde, past winner in 1954, 60, 61, 63 & 66 and winner of the French Open in 1969, also Jean-François Remesy, double winner of the French Open and past winner in 1994, 95 & 2000. To be noted, other well-known professionals to add to the fun. Raphaël Jacquelin, Jean-Pierre Sallat, Raphaël Pellicioli et Stéphane Piget who recently turned professional. In the ladies' field, Ludivine Kreutz, Sophie Sandolo et Diana Luna. Over in the amateurs corner, famous football players like Laurent Blanc, Alain Boghossian, David Ginola, Christian Lopez, teamed up with a pro during this great golf event. The first 2 rounds were played to follow the tradition in an alliance format with 74 teams (1 pro + 1 amateur). The final round had a group of pros going after Jean-François Remesy, he was in great position after a new course record, 60 (-8), opening round on Friday.
