The Crete Golf Club is a marvellous new addition to Europe's rich reservoir of courses and  will soon be regarded as one of the finest tests in the whole of the southern Mediterranean.
The new Bob Hunt masterpiece, is best described as a desert golf course hewn out of rolling landscape little more than half an hour from the international airport of Heraklion. It boasts a series of memorable holes that will test every aspect of a golfer's repertoire and offers stunning views over mountainous landscape that has hardly changed since the Minoan era back in 2600 to 1100 BC.
The views on the back nine are incomparable and so is the service offered to visitors. Staff can supply a fine selection of quality hire clubs. They will go out of their way to fix up games for single golfers and can even arrange transportation as and when required. The standard of service at Crete Golf Club is exemplary and adds a great deal to what is already a special experience.
The Crete Golf Club cooperates with more than 60 Partner Hotels which provide high quality accommodation and services. Guests of our Partner Hotels enjoy special discounts on green fees.
The first 18-hole course on the island
The Crete Golf Club is home to the first 18-hole course on the island and it is a lay-out that few visitors will ever forget. Course architect, Bob Hunt,  has taken what was once an unkempt piece of rugged mountainside and transformed it into a verdant oasis surrounded by some of the most beautiful views in the whole of Europe.
The course itself is best described as a desert-style lay-out, featuring expansive fairways hewn through rocks and ravines. Visitors soon realise that the emphasis is on accuracy, although the landing areas are generous enough to accommodate all but the most errant shots. Hunt, who also designed the links course at Tobago Plantations, home of the annual Tobago Plantations Seniors Classic on the European Seniors Tour, has created a host of memorable holes, none more so than the 198-yard par-3 6th and the short 330-yard par-4 11th where the view behind the green simply takes the breath away. The 6th, which is destined to become the course’s signature hole, requires both accuracy and careful club selection.
The tee shot has to cross a deep ravine to reach a two-tier green cut into the foot of a hillside. A three will always be welcome, particularly as the 7th, a demanding, uphill 407-yard par-4, requires what is probably the hardest drive of the day. All around the course, the golfer can enjoy stunning views, both of the mountains and the coastline some ten minutes drive away. It is a stunning backdrop to what will be a memorable day.

The Porto Carras Grand Resort is located on the Chalkidiki Peninsula 75 kilometers south of the city of Thessaloniki in northern Greece. The course is open year round.
The course covers 77 hectares and was designed by Geoffrey Cornish and William Robinson as a nine holes course. It was redesigned in 2003 by Roy Machary and opened in 2004 as an eighteen hole course. The newly designed course utilizes Seashore Paspalum-Warm season grass. It is a 18-hole, Par 71 course with three par 5, four par 3 and eleven par 4 holes.
The Porto Carras Golf Course offers a brand new club house, practice range and practice green.
The 2nd golf course, the Winnery Golf Course, that is about to be constructed in Porto Carras is a part of a great investment implemented in the last years in Porto Carras.
It will be an 18-hole course of international standards, designed by a famous professional golfer who engages with designing courses in order to give to the course the appropriate prestige.
The course adds it self to the two 18-hole golf courses (one under construction) and it will present Porto Karras as one of the top destinations for golf in the world.
We havn’t more information about the 3rd  course but we think that will be the same high level than the Olive and Winnering golf courses.

The Afandou Golf Course is located on Afandou Bay on the Island of Rhodes which is served by scheduled and direct charter airline flights from throughout Europe.
The 18 hole, par-73 course, was designed by Donald Harradine and opened in May of 1973.
Nearby the Afandou Golf Course are pristine beaches, archeological sites and picturesque villages. The Medieval town of Rhodes, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is only 20 km away.
The Afandou Golf Club is opened year round , caddies, caddy carts, golf clubs and balls can all be rented for a nominal fee. Facilities include a club house with Pro-shop, snack shop, Mens and Ladies locker rooms, a putting green and driving range.
In July of 2007 the Afandou Golf Course will host the golf competition for the International Island Games Athletic Competition.
A large number of world class hotels are located within a short distance of the course like Irčne Palace, Kresten Palace, Atrium Palace etc.
