Val d’Astier in Cogolin

You can see this beautiful estate away from Saint Tropez, as you leave the Golf Country Club in Gassin, not too long ago it was just covered with trees and sheep. This young and passionate couple has planted 12,5 hectares of vines. Five years is needed to expect the first results, and it’s rather convincing. Chateau Maïme at the Arcs-sur-Argens

On the side of the legendary N7, a Sainte Maîme (provencal name for Sainte-Maxime) chapel looks after this domain. There, a young winemaker, Jean-Louis Sibran, fully devotes his time and passion to his wine. In less than 10 years he, made his red wine, Véronique, a success; named after his sister and his wife, and made it a reference available at the best dining tables here and there (12€). For nearly 200 years, the same family has operated and managed this classy castle, this ancient farmstead belonged to the Marquis de Brégançon, for the fort with the same name, now one of the residence of the French presidents.
